Janet's Curated Shows

The "Joyful Song: A Tribute to Rosemary Clooney" show has a set list that is comprised of song selections that reflect Clooney’s life and love of music. Favorites from both her pop and jazz repertoires, movie moments, and engaging storytelling take a deep look into the history that made her who she was. Featured songs include Tenderly, the opening number on Clooney’s 1950’s television show, the novelty tunes (such as Mambo Italiano) which brought her fame, and the sultry love ballads she was best known for. A definite highlight is an exciting medley of songs from her classic film, White Christmas. After hearing her sing, Irving Berlin wrote the song “Love: You Didn’t Do Right By Me” specifically for Clooney; this song is a favorite of Janet’s, who will be wearing a stunning copy of the iconic dress Clooney wore in the film.

"It's a Lovely Day Today with Doris, Dinah, and Ella" features Doris Day, Dinah Shore and Ella Fitzgerald, and songs from albums they recorded with the famous conductor/pianist Andre Previn.

Past shows include
"Jazz Stylings" featuring early jazz standards to pop
"International Jazz Day Celebration for Peace and Solidarity"
"Halloween Tribute Show to John Waters" with songs from his films and personal favorites
"Harvest Moon," an autumn show featuring songs with "moon" in the title
"Holiday Jazz" shows with themes that reflect the season.
